The trick to reassembling something back is to try and remember what you did as you remove it. Most of the time its common sense as many parts only fit one way. Since it doesn't roll well, it sounds like the wheels were not put back right. Remember most vacuum cleaners have a height adjustment for bare floors and carpets. So if you set it on bare floor and vacuum your carpet it will be hard since the brushes are closer to the ground.
I find that if I have to take apart a lot of stuff, I would take pictures with a digital camera so i know how it looks before it is taken apart. Good luck.
