Does anyone agree that this society would be better if men and women had clearer rolls to play ?

What i am trying to say is do u think that this lad and ladette culture has gotten out of hand .... there seems to be a lack of class, there are no manners , what happened to the real men out there, the ... and what happened to the real women ? Both men and women are loud and lairy , have no respect for each other, it seems we have become a nation of beer swilling promiscuous chavs !! I'd just like to hear your views and opinions, thanks ....Does anyone agree that this society would be better if men and women had clearer rolls to play ?
aye see what happens eh..lol.. give them the vote and they want to be more than breeding mahines..lol..Does anyone agree that this society would be better if men and women had clearer rolls to play ?
And what does your avatar and name say about you?
Well, you are correct. There are things that men do better than women, and there are things that women do better than men. Today, it is not politically correct to say that, but it is true. Men and women are different.

I am repulsed by masculine women and effeminate men. I despise androgyny, but that is where our culture is being pushed.

Women have foul mouths and sport tattoos because they think that it contributes to their masculine image. Men started with the long hair, and then progressed to earrings. What's next, make up?

Fortunately, there are men and women who don't follow the trend, but they are in the minority. I think a lot of people today think that humans are just another animal, so they act the part.
Your culture has different ideas of what women and men should be like. Mine does as well. Might be best not to suggest such things these days.
clearer rolls?????????is that so they can see what's in the sandwich.perhaps everyone should be better educated at school so they have a better idea of what ROLE society expects them to play
Yes I agree. There seems to be overall a lack of respect for all things (authority, parents, spouses, honour). As for the roles, I think that the media has fed the wrong messages to men/boys with shows like the Simpson's, where you have a main character who is a complete imbecile which kids (and unfortunately sometimes adult men) imitate. The feminist movement completely discouraged women from wanting to be women. I know of some who wanted to be stay at home moms, but felt that they could not because of social pressure to not appear as less equal by staying home.

There has been a bad twist. Men have let go of too many responsibilities, and women have taken too many on. Both trying to either appease or prove something.

Gender Roles worked in the past. Just look at our messed up society today. Divorce everywhere and a whole host of other social problems. Kids need a FATHER and a MOTHER figure, not a synergenic parent.
I agree. It has gotten out of hand and nobody has any respect for anyone else anymore.
never myself been a ladette, but seen a few when i am out at night! the thing is these days equality rules. it is the reason for change in attitudes and behaviour. isn't always a good thing. don't like the culture in males, never mind females. but if then aren't starting fights or trouble, then let them get on with it.
This is the major problem with equality!!!!

Women now seem to believe that they are on equal terms with men with regards everything. I personally think it is disgusting to see women extremely drunk and acting like louts. Men prefer women who are NOT promiscuous, loud and who drink pints of beer!
What vassigo said. And, to answer the OQ, yes.

Bounced Pay Roll Check that SHOULD have Cleared....HELP PLEASE?

so im outta ideas here. Back in May our checking account got a retured deposited item and 500 dollars was taken as a result for the bounced check. It was my husbands payroll check that he has previously cashed the week before. Confused I told him to go to his HR and tell her to look into it that if it was something on their end they needed to pay us. Sadly my checks go directly deposited into the accound so the negative activity that was there was quickly fixed due to my check and I needed to pay rent. So after a couple days his HR comes back and says ';here take this money till we figure out whats going on'; and she gave him what his check amout was in cash and he signed a paper.

The bank ours and Lowes bank has given us the complete run around. WAMU said it was Bank of america, bank of america said it was WAMU then WAMU said it was Lowes. We ended up getting copies of the bank statement from B OF A showing that the check DID actually clear 2 days AFTER that money had already been taken out of our account. first someone said oh we cant read the account number on the check thats what caused it to bounce then someone else said that lowes didnt have the funds for it and then lowes said that the funds were there. IVE been saying all along that its an internal error with one of the banks. a month after all this happened...in June my husband gets his new check for working 2 weeks and its for 38 bucks. they had taken OUT the money they gave him saying that the check cleared and he was paid twice. Our bank wasnt doing anything, they wouldnt let me talk to someone higher than them directly at the bank. B of A couldnt do anything and my husband payroll wouldnt return our fone calls. So i contacted WAMUS back office and they looked into it. After more than a month of gathering info, names, talking to people EVERYTHING they could possibly do. they submitted all the info BACK to Lowes and the HR person.

it has now been 7 months and we still dont have our money.

I say someone needs to be sued.....

BUT WHO?

thoughts and ideas please? i feel like ive been dealing with idiots this whole time and this has been such a big hardship on usBounced Pay Roll Check that SHOULD have Cleared....HELP PLEASE?
Who woulda thunk that a Lowes paycheck would bounce?

It's happened to me on more than one sad occasion where my paycheck has bounced 'cause the 'boss' didn't have the cash in the bank, causing all kinds of returned check fees, headache and hassle. Ever since, it's off to the employer's bank, CASH the paycheck and into my account with the cash. And if it was the banks fault as in your case, the same kind of run around. Good luck.

PS: with today's crashing economy, layoffs every day and bad news on top of the last bad news, cashing your paycheck before depositing it may have to become standard procedure for all of us.

I just want to make sure that I am clear.

1. A paycheck bounced and $500 was deducted from your account. (so you are $500 down)

2. Then 2 days later, when the bank auto-redeposits (makes a second attempt) the money cleared and the $500 was put back in your account. (now you are where you should be)

3. Not knowing this, you went to HR who gave you the $500 in cash (now you are $500 better off)

4. The next month the HR deducts the $500 that they paid you in cash as an over payment since your original check did clear on the second attempt. (you are now even)

Is that correct?

If that is the case, aside from potential bounced payment fees, I am not clear where you are out any money. I understand that it has been a hassle, but you aren't out financially.
im on my other account here to answer those questions asked better.

no, the bank never put back in the money even after we showed them the papers from B of A with the date. we still somehow had already gotten the copy of the check back saying ';return to maker'; if the check was ran twice and ended up clearing the bank never put back the money. when the back office was working on this for me they said they needed a letter FROM that B of A stating the check did clear if they got that then they could process it and give us the refund. never happened.
You can go to your local better business bureau for advice but I think they will tell you to file a complaint with the state bank examiners and they will look into it.

If you go into the bank and try to get it resolved and get stonewalled, sometimes just the threat can get some action.

A few years ago we had 800 dollars go mysteriously missing from our account, my wife dealt with the bank for a couple of weeks, we handed over our check register to the bank administrator and they could find no reason why the money had been taken out or where it was and made no offers to reimburse us. I went down to the bank and didn't get a straight answer either and I just told the lady that if none of us was smart enough to figure it out, maybe the bank examiners could if I reported it to them, the next afternoon our balance was returned.

Since I really haven't answered your question, it is not necessary to give me any points. Regards.

If you have a ticket for a rolling stop(1st ticket) can you get traffic school to clear it?? CALIFORNIA...?

No. The traffic school is not in the business of clearing such tickets. They are to teach you about how not to make these mistakes, not to cover up for you. Sorry but you have to pay it or go to the DMV and explain away your troubles. Perhaps someone over there can take care of it for you.If you have a ticket for a rolling stop(1st ticket) can you get traffic school to clear it?? CALIFORNIA...?
If you haven't been to traffic school in the last 18 months you should have no problem whatsoever! Other things beyond my knowledge may apply- for instance, if you resisted arrest or had a weapon or drugs or something. Otherwise, as I stated, NO PROBLEM!

Go to the courthouse weekly, (some you can check on-line,) until your ticket comes up.

Then, pay the fee and do the class.

Check the authorized list of on-line schools and do it on-line is my suggestion, although I've seen schools offer free pizza and everything else to get you to come to them.

On-line is better, faster, cheaper-and more sure, if you can concentrate for yourself instead of needing to be babysat and made to do the work.

Trust me- I live in the East Bay and I just recently had to do the classes myself.

  • Rolls of film coming out clear.?

OK so yesterday i was in Chicago doing some urban photo and when i developed my rolls of film today they all came out clear. I checked my camera (old Asahi Pentax K1000) and the shutter cloth is opening, the mirror is going up the shutter setting is working, i had it set to the right film speed (I used Ilford FP4 plus 125 speed film) the one thing i dont know how to check is if my lenses are working (i have a regular 50 mm a fish eye and a telephoto)...also the film is only a couple weeks old and i put it in the refrig. for storageRolls of film coming out clear.?
Sounds like not developed, only fixed.

Maybe you first mistakenly fixed it and then developed it, or you mistakenly put in water instead of developer, or you completely forgot to develope it and only fixed it? These are no stupid questions, I saw people making the most unimaginable mistakes while developing black and white films.

Check if there are numbers on the side of the film, when there are no means the film is not developed. Also the beginning of the film should be black.

When these things are there than it's probably a camera or lens problem.

When you developed like it should be done:

Somehow your camera wasn't able to shoot. The curtain didn't open, maybe the curtain did open but only while the mirror was down? Are you sure the film transported, did you see the film rewind knob turn? Even when your lenses aperture would only work at the smallest aperture they would still let some light go through on your films. And I can't imagine that they close down completely shut. All three lenses broke down at the same moment sounds too impossible to me. There's something wrong with your camera, the shutter didn't open while you were making photos that's the only thing I can think of. Load a cheap film and make photos without a lens while looking into the camera. Than you also see if the mirror and shutter are working synchronically. Make one photo without lens , one with, one without, one with and so on untill the end of the film. Develope that film.

It is a very old camera you have. Mostly old mechanical cameras die on their shutter or transport system. The shutter can begin to behave very strangely by sometimes not working and than suddenly working again. I once had a Minolta x500 which shutter suddenly only opened half during a important photo session.

Don't let it repair for more money than it is worth, try to find a good second hand one which will be a lot cheaper than a repairment of a very old camera. If you don't find a K1000 try to find another camera with k bajonet if you are so keen at your fish eye lens. K bajonet cameras are not so hard to find at least in Europe they aren't. K bajonet lenses even fit Pentax's digital cameras, adapter needed, although not al automatic functions on the digital camera will work and don't forget the extension factor for the lens due to sensor size.

The film is clear. That means it saw no light, it can't be overexposed. In that case there would be completely black frames.

Or do you see black frames instead of negatives? If you do than wrenchintheworks is right. When this is the case it means your camera doesn't close the aperture when it should and keeps it fully open. A K1000 is capable of full-aperture metering but the camera should close the aperture to its setting during exposure. It does this with a connection situated left just under the red spot on the bajonet. That should move when it makes a picture. When it doesn't than your aperture doesn't stop down resulting in over exposure. Does you aperture close when you take a photo, put at f8 and try several times.

Was meinst du denn mit ';with the back open also?'; Schliesst die Blende wenn du ein foto machts oder nicht?

Hast du Yahoo messenger installiert, was ist denn dein yahoo id?

Let check the camera, but don't spend too much money on that. When the camera is broke, get another, new or a good second hand. When it's not broke, take it as it is and make further photos with it.

Entschuldige mein schlechtes Deutsch, ich komme aus Holland.Rolls of film coming out clear.?
Ok, i've been doing this 40 years. I think you mixed up the beakers and put the fixer in first. Developer later. WHOOPS!

Hey, we all do it. Some of us more than once in a lifetime.

Go shoot some more, try again.

    Have fun
You say the beginning of the roll was black and you had clear, numbered frames? Then your camera was taking pictures but they are way over-exposed. If you look at the frames with a loupe, can you make out any information?

Open the back of the camera, set it on Bulb (B) and then press the shutter. Look through the curtain and open/close the f/stop ring. Make sure the shutter is working (and closing) and other than that, I'm stumped.

I stole a sign from a womens rest room in Austria in 1976. It said, Bitte keine abfel oder sonstige geganstande in de toilet verfen. Was this referring to not flushing sanitary products? I always wondered.

Also, could you have overdeveloped or mixed developer too strong? Shoot two more rolls, process one yourself and take the other to a cheap lab.

I just bought some wooden rolls. What's your worst ';Reduced To Clear'; purchase?

I bought some gawd-awful ugly shoes just cause they were on super clearance...I know I will never wear them.
